Halloween Wrap-up

So our weekend went surprisingly well. Well except the part where J over-shared with a few too many people, but at least most of them were strangers will have no idea who he really was. Well they know his name now, and his brother’s name, and that his brother isn’t really spiderman and that he was in no way, shape or form “Dracula.” That about sums it up.

Trunk or Treat on Saturday

For the first time in 4 years, I got him to dress as something other than a vampire. However, he only compromised because we were going to be trick or treating more than once. He was an Animal Scientist for Trunk or treat and trick or treat on Saturday. Oh and Trunk or Treat was the perfect practice run for neighborhood trick or treating. The rules we came up with:

1) You get what you get and you don’t throw a fit (and say thank you.)

2) If they say you can pick, then you pick very quick (and say thank you.)

3) It is OKAY if they call your brother Spiderman, he is just pretending. Please don’t tell everyone his name and yours.

Yeah number 3 didn’t stick AT ALL. And when his brother went home early on Sunday night with another mom, he told the rest of the houses not only his name, but his brother’s name and that his brother was at W and H’s house.

Oh and when I lamented about his over-sharing to one of the moms in our group, she told me that at a previous house as they were waiting for the door to open he said, “Don’t worry that’s just my poop acid.” yes that is his really long way of saying “fart” cause it makes more sense that way to him.

Hope you all had a happy Halloween too. 🙂
